Anxiety and Depression

It feels like anxiety is running your life.

The self-doubt creeps in, convincing you that something terrible will happen.

You might even have a feeling in your gut that tells you that you’re doing it all wrong, and you need to change everything at once or run away.

That feeling in your chest starts to come back again. Now your hands are shaking, and you can’t even get a good night’s rest.

Focusing on one thing at a time is almost impossible – this is anxiety.

Your mind is on the go all the time.

Your mind is always trying to plan, evaluate, and determine what you need to do next and what can go wrong.

Maybe you worry about work deadlines.

Perhaps family expectations feel too much right now, and there isn’t enough time in one day to get everything done. Making it through one day is hard enough, and now you must do it again tomorrow.

All these worries make it hard to breathe – this is also anxiety.

Anxiety and depression are besties.

When you see anxiety, there is also a likelihood of depression holding its hand. Anxiety is all about focusing on the future, and depression likes to keep you in the past.

Depression HYPER focuses on all your decisions and likes to shame and instill doubt. Depression wants to make you feel trapped and likes to focus on making you feel hopeless – it’s suffocating.

At this point, you might even be at a place where getting out of bed is a chore. You might notice that the grass isn’t greener, and everything is on autopilot.

Life is passing by, and you are watching it without control over it – this is depression.
